The floors were in pretty good shape in the front with only some surface rust.
I used Por-15 to treat these areas then coated the entire floor with Kool Seal
elastomeric roof coating to protect it from any water that may leak in. Three
coats formed a nice thick coating and also has helped to quiet the interior.
A new carpet kit purchased from bj's offroad was installed over top.

For the center console I wanted something that was sturdy, could serve as an armrest and
be used for storage. I couldn't find anything that I liked or wanted to pay for so I wound
up building one out of oak plywood. It bolts right into place where the old armrest was.
After having no luck finding a radio that could mount into the existing dash I decided to put
the cd player in the console as well.

The rear floors were rusted out pretty bad behind the wheel wells so I cut the floor out of a
Cherokee in the local junkyard. I stripped the paint from the rear floors, treated the rust with
Por-15 and installed my new floor panels (also coated with Por-15). Since I have no welding skills
they were pop riveted into place and coated again with Por-15. Next step is to rubberize the
rear floors as well and finish installing the carpet kit. Pics will be posted when its done.
